Permanently identified by microchip

1996: Whelped September 30, 1996 AKC registration # DL660815/05

1997: Received from John Blankers of Silver Hills Farm January 3,1997 ( we had to wait until the temperature warmed to 10 below freezing before she could fly to Texas)

1997: Bilaterally hearing: BAER tested by Dr. George M. Strain May 4, 1997 in Belton, Texas

1999: DB participated in the AKC's DNA Certification Program Oct 20, 1999

          

2001: OFA # ACD-1499G52F-PI: Hip joint conformation was evaluated as: Good at age four years and four months.

2001: Examined by James F. Swanson DVM, DACVO of the Gulf Coast Animal Clinic at a CERF clinic in Austin, Texas November 10, 2001    CERF #ACD-1009/2001 --62:  Normal Eyes;

2002: Whelped

Year 2001 Breeding occurred before DNA test for PRACD was available. DNA identified Pattern C (affected) for PRACD. She was  bred to Pattern B (carrier but not affected) litter produced Pattern B and one Pattern C.

2008: At age 11 yrs and 7 months She is late stage 2/early stage 3 prcd affected (~60% blind, night blind and beginning cataracts) Examined at a CERF clinic in Onion Creek Kennels, Buda TX May 4, 2008.

This was a pretty good report for a dog her age. She acts like she owns the world and seems to have no fear of the dark. Lack of confidence is not her style.

Herding:

Herding Instinct Certificate issued by the North Central Texas Herding Dog Group 3 January 1998. The evaluator was Linda Holloway and the HIC test was performed in Glen Rose, Texas during the Nolan River Kennel Club show.

She was evaluated by Craig Watson during a herding clinic in San Antonio, Texas in 1999. She has since participated with me in herding playdays and seminars given by Cappy Pruett and Joy Sebastian. Apparently I am pretty hard to train, but DB puts up with me.
