Tally is the third pup from this talented litter
to earn herding titles.

Tally lives in upstate New York with her person Sarah

She shares a love of water, swimming and "go for it" attitude with
her Mom and littermates.
Tally gives her (Am Staf/pit bull) brother Beamer sweet
dreams.

Tally had some obstacles early in her life. Her first home turned out
not to be her best home. Fortunately they returned her to her breeder where she learned
some new manners, had new experiences and was ready to try a new life away from home.
We visited lots of doggie adoption day events so Tally could meet
giant dogs, toy dogs, black dogs, old dogs, babies, bull dogs, wildly friendly dogs,
nervous dogs and people of all ages and descriptions. It was fun watching Tally see
a English bull dog for the first time. He did not have a nose like she had ever seen and
he "snuffled" a lot. She observed this sight and then offered to make friends.
In her first home Tally had been allowed to entertain herself. She
had turned a lot of her drive into light fascination, swimming, chasing the dancing lights
in splashes of water and barking. We were able to address these issues in our own pond and
by letting her know that barking meant no attention. Quiet meant immediate attention.
While we made progress, she needed her own person in a home with fewer dogs.
Sarah, a trainer, wanted a high drive fast acting ACD who would be a
loyal companion and friendly. After talk, video of Tally and emails, Tally went to
Sarah's house.
